My name is Liam Jones, and in-case you don't know me i'm a bit mad - in the crazy sense and the "i'm going to stab you if you don't get out my way" sense. I'm sometimes a last minute man and do things on a whim! Recently I left a job - the job itself was working with children and young adults at an outdoor activity centre for kids called PGL. I'd thrown kids of zip wires, put them on giant swings and sang with them all day long for 3 seasons. I can be moody sometimes and working with kids really brightened up a gloomy day.
After being home for 2 days, realising the need to get out, and scouring the internet for a multitude of jobs. I now find myself on a TEFL Course based in Phuket, Thailand, starting in roughly 28 days time. The count down begins. There are several things I need to do: book insurance, go for vaccines, find certificates and learn the best way to avoid Thai-boys! But before that, sit down and realise what I've just done, one minute i'm working in lovely Surrey the next i'm going to be flying to Thailand. My advice to anyone - do things on a whim and if they work out - great! If not you've always got you're return ticket.
I've started this blog for something for my friends and family to engage in and see what i'll be doing. I'll also blog about the pre-preparations for Thailand, as I have some spare time in the next 28 days, and I need to work on my writing skills and grammar. Until the next post I bid thee farewell.
