Hurdles...Hurdles...Hurdles...and relax

After spending the whole evening looking viewing the lifestyle in Thailand. I find that i'm getting excited but also dreading it slightly after a friend of mine told me to be careful as I might get my arms chopped off and another friend re-assured me that they can live off me for a year!

I had one of them days where you get an a few unexpected twists to spice things up. I couldn't find my degree from the University of Wolverhampton - yes, really! From my glory days of the student union bar idol, where I go to the finals, through to my first ever stand up comedy gig - this was the place where dreams were made of - fighting friends, women, and smoking in pubs - what more could you ask for?

This degree cost me thousands, and the only time I've needed it is now - and I can't find it. It's vital to have your BA degree when teaching TEFL abroad as it can help you get the "better" jobs. I've now got to pay the uni £20 for a replacement.

I also received a phone call from one of the reps from the company i'm going to Thailand with - they've now asked me to go in November. Which I didn't want to do. So I'm going to still go out there early and volunteer with another company with accommodation paid. All my expenses for the month will then only be spent on food, which you can get dog on a stick off a street vendor (not sure about this - i'm just expecting a lot of cuisine to be dog as there's a lot of strays).

The company who are running my TEFL course are - http://www.gap360.com/paid-teaching-in-thailand and the volunteer group i'm looking at is - http://www.isara.org/community/pages/free-volunteer-thailand teach English and receive accommodation for it - minimum 1 week.

Any advice on travelling Thailand, much appreciated, thanks.

Now time to do some more research.....until another problem occurs. Bye.
