Ronnie Corbett Dies Aged 85 - One of Britain's most loved Artists

Today: 31st March 2016 Ronnie Corbett passed away surrounded by his family.

Corbett who was 85 years old had been hospitalized several times over the past few years. He was awarded an CBE by the Queen in 2012. The same year that he collapsed after having a routine knee operation. Ronnie Barker, Corbett's showbiz partner, died in October 2005. Together, they brought joy to millions of TV viewers.

Scottish Born Ronnie Corbett was best known for his comedy show The Two Ronnies for over two decades this TV show aired to critical acclaim. His latest show was a radio show.

Ronnie Corbett has two daughters who are actresses in their forties.

A statement from his publicist said: 'Ronnie Corbett CBE, one of the nation's best-loved entertainers, passed away this morning, surrounded by his loving family. 

'They have asked that their privacy is respected at this very sad time.' - DailyMail
